Worm Castings Fertilizer

Earthworm Castings

Earthworm castings are the "droppings" of earthworms and are nature's most perfect fertilizer.  Recently worm castings are experiencing a surge in popularity because of:
  • Rising oil prices, resulting in
  • Rising chemical fertilizer prices and
  • Rising interest in organic gardening and the "green" movement

Worm Fertilizer - Make Your Own

Those of us who have the inclination can make our own earthworm castings fertilizer fairly easily.

Simply fill  a worm bin (home made or "store bought") with suitable worm bedding that has been moistened.  Add a pound or two (according to the amount of kitchen waste and organic waste your family creates) of red worms and/or European night crawlers to the worm bin.

Feed these earthworms finely chopped, moistened food and organic matter.  The worms gladly convert it all into rich vermi-compost filled with earthworm castings.

Pure Earthworm Castings - Organic Fertilizer

What's more, these earthworm castings are certified organic and OMRI listed.  So, if you're an organic grower and want to keep your certification or simply want to garden organically, Pure Black Castings™ makes and excellent choice.

Apply these pure earthworm castings as a side dressing or mix in with your potting mix and garden soil for fantastic  results.  Because Black Castings™ has enhanced microbe and humate content, you are also improving your soil's health.  These pure, "super charged" worm castings also increase the soil's moisture retention ability, thereby reducing watering requirements.
